Styling On A Budget: How did you get your start in the gossip and entertainment industry?
Vivian Billings: We all gossip. Everybody gossips. From your gandmother talking to your aunt, to your mother talking to her brothers, everybody gossips. I just happened to be around a lot of industry [people] due to my husband having his DVD. And so I was around a lot of the things that were going on as far as entertainers, and artists, and actors, and comedians...everybody. I just reported the things I saw. I would turn on the radio and the people [radio personalities] would report certain things. I would be at these events and it didn't go down the way it did so I just felt like I would report my take on things within the industry.
SOAB: Is that what made you decide to start blogging?
VB: It started on Myspace...not so much blogging. Then it grew to Facebook. Then I was working for a number of sites. I was writing for Tionna Smalls, she had a website called TalkDatIsh.com. I was a writer on her site then I just said, 'I could do this on my own, let me start my own thing'. That's when I really decided to be serious about blogging and writing.
SOAB: Since you've been around different industry people, who's the one celebrity that you've met that left you starstruck?
VB: Starstruck? Nobody yet. I think when I meet Queen Latifah that might all change. I grew up on her. She's evolved so much from being a rapper, to an actress, to her own shows. I'll be starstruck when I meet her.
SOAB: In regards to the show [The Gossip Game], it seems like you got along with everyone except for Ms.Drama. Since the show has wrapped are you guys cool now or do you just not like her?
VB: Not that I don't like her I just don't like who she is. I'm sure if she had a different type of personality I would get along with her. A lot of people are like oh it's too many girls it's cattiness...that's not me. I just could not connect with her character therefore we clashed.
SOAB: How do you feel about the show not getting a second season?
VB: Girl I'm not even surprised. I love VH1, they made me who I am and I so appreciate them, but the show never had a fair chance. We had a lot of time changes. A lot of people said our ratings sucked, but contrary to popular belief, our ratings were good...they weren't great, but they weren't bad. I wasn't banking my future on a second season of Gossip Game.
SOAB: What new projects are you involved in?
VB: I am the new host of ThisIs50.com, the show airs every Wednesday night from 7:30-9:30. It's me along side Hynaken Dutch. Also I do a lot of hostings, parties, appearances, and walk-throughs.

SOAB: So I know you and your husband have a clothing line and we would love to know more about it.
VB: It's called Rich & Famous. We do snapbacks, tee shirts, and varsity jackets. A lot of celebrities have been seen rocking the hats; Angela [Yee], Wale, Raekwon, a whole bunch of people. It's starting to make it's name in the fashion world. If anyone is interested in the Rich & Famous hats or tee shirts they can log on to IAmRichAndFamous and order whatever you like.
SOAB: Where do you like to shop?
VB: My Instagram followers will be sure to tell you I love DOTS. They have the most fashionable clothes for the cheapest prices. And not for nothing I don't think I'm the best dressed but I don't think I look that bad. Thanks to DOTS I can thank them for my entire wardrobe. I don't have a stylist yet but DOTS has come to the rescue. You have to understand I have 4 kids. I've always grown up on the thing 'it's not what you wear it's how you wear it'. I don't need a name brand. Sometimes I'll go to Bebe.
SOAB: What's the one accessory you can't live without out?
VB: My bangles! I love bracelets. I love my arms to be filled with a whole bunch of bracelets. I talk with my hands and I like to hear the jingle.
SOAB: Who's your favorite celebrity trendsetter?
VB: I would have to say Rihanna. I know everyone says Rihanna, but that girl can fucking rock a pair of underwear and an ankle bracelet and make that shit look so hot. She's just one of those girls that no matter what she does or what she wears she always looks great.
